Dinner & Learn-May 7th

This session is a begining, a space to call in white folks in HIV advocacy spaces. We invite you to join us as we engage in anti-racism as an ongoing practice, not a one-time conversation. Racism continues to shape HIV outcomes, access, and advocacy spaces, and it is our responsibility to name it, interrupt it, and change it.
During this session, we will build a shared language, examine how harm shows up in our work and communities, and practice real tools for accountability and action. This is not about perfection—it’s about commitment, courage, and a willingness to be uncomfortable, to listen, and to change. We invite white folks in HIV advocacy to show up fully, take responsibility for your role, and leave with concrete steps to advance racial justice alongside—and not ahead of—those most impacted.
note: This session is specifically designed for white folks. For transparency and accountability, BIPOC folks can certainly join. We hold ourselves responsible for our learning and will not ask you to share stories or lessons.

White Folks Anti-Racism Caucus has evolved in step with our learning. Through many changes our commitment to pursuing anti-racism in HIV spaces has not wavered.
What the FARC! Zines

Bootstrap Myth
None of us really go it alone. We stand on the shoulders of everyone who came before us.

Reality Check
White exceptionalism would have us believe we are in the center of it all. The reality is that we closer to the edges.

Building Community
Six easy steps to doing the hardest and most rewarding thing you’ll ever do.
How to Make Your Zine
Step 1 – Print out your zine at 100% (no scaling) on letter size paper.
Step 2 – Fold the paper in half longways, following the line. Unfold it.
Step 3 – Fold the paper in half sideways, following the lines. Fold it again in half sideways.
Step 4 – Unfold everything. You should see 8 rectangles.
Step 5 – Fold the paper sideways again. Cut ONLY the center fold halfway (dashed line).
Step 6 – Unfold slightly, then push the two sides inward to form a small book. Fold it flat — now you have your fanzine!
Step 7 – Enjoy your zine!
